Las Cruces Seasoning
1/2 cup jar 2.2oz
Hand blended from black pepper, garlic, onion, Hatch Big Jim chile flakes, shallots, oregano and sage. Savory flavor with noticeable garlic notes along with onion and pepper undertones. While it has a hint of heat that hits the back of your throat this is certainly not one that I would consider a “hot” seasoning blend. Use this seasoning on chicken for a new, salt free taste that will surely be memorable and will become a go-to in your kitchen. As mentioned before, it is great for the grill, but can be used on chicken cooked in any manner.

Add this seasoning to your eggs in the morning and wake up with that slight kick of heat provided by the Hatch Big Jim chile flakes.

Chili in general tastes better with chiles present, but a chile-based seasoning can do wonders for that favorite fall food. Similarly, stews can be enhanced quite nicely by this seasoning.
If you are not a huge meat eater or a vegetarian, this seasoning also tastes excellent with rice and couscous dishes.
Roasted or grilled vegetables like carrots, potatoes, or eggplant find a friend in this blend as well.
You could even use a dash of this in baked macaroni and cheese to enhance the flavors. Even a boxed macaroni and cheese dinner would taste more gourmet with this seasoning present.
